At Oyster Diving, we believe learning the theory behind diving is as important as the environment within which you learn it. That’s why we've chosen to teach all of our open water diving theory classes online. This allows you to learn anywhere in the world with an internet connection, at a convenient time and location to suit you. The PADI e-learning system is designed so you can learn the theory at a relaxed pace in comfortable surroundings such as your home, office or even on the beach. You will have the full support of our experienced PADI instructors if you have any questions.
It normally takes 10 to 12 hours to complete the theory online depending on how many sessions you chose to do it over. Much of this time is spent watching entertaining and interesting video clips and and answering multiple choice questions. Once you have completed the online theory simply print off your final scores and bring them along with you to the pool session.

To learn and practice your diving skills we’ve searched high and low to find the right pool for our customers. The pool is located in close proximity to Fulham, Chiswick, Twickenham, Putney, Hammersmith, Kensington, Kingston and Notting Hill.
Situated in the summer house of one of London's finest private mansion houses and close to the River Thames and Richmond Park, this fantastic pool has plenty of room to swim around in, practice your underwater skills and fine-tune your buoyancy.
The pool sessions take place on a Sunday morning from 9.30am to approximately 1pm. We then pop around the corner to the Rose of York, a family-friendly pub by the River, for a bite to eat and sign your log books.
Open water dives are conducted over a seperate weekend in a lake near either Heathrow or in Chepstow. The lakes are ideal for training purposes with purpose built training platforms and sunken wrecks such as planes, boats and cars. There is suprisingly plenty of life too, such as pike, roach, crayfish and trout. If you decide to come along to Chepstow then you can choose to stay in a heated Wig Wam for only £20 per night!
We also run regular group trips abroad for students who wish to complete their course with the same instructor and meet fun and like-minded people. Alternatively our Travel Centre would be happy to provide you with a quote so you can complete your dives somewhere more exotic.
